After scouring for reclaimed, reused and recycled pieces for the shell
of her house, Sharka set out to find furniture that would complement
the rustic look of the interior. But when her search became more frustrating
than fruitful, she decided she would just make some furniture herself.
"The first thing that I made was a log bunk bed for the boys," she
says. "Then came the tables and chairs. Now, I have a complete line
of log furniture.
From
club-style log chairs to white cedar coffee tables, the look of
Sharka's home is what you'd call contemporary country. "The place
is a combination of earthy, warm and cosy pieces," she says. "I
really love all things log". And it shows. A quick glance reveals
ladders, coat racks, headboards and a harvest table made of Canadian
wood."
